Job Purpose

The Whole School Arabic A Lead is responsible for leading and developing the Arabic A across the Primary and Secondary phases, ensuring high standards of teaching, learning, and student achievement. The role provides strategic leadership, supports curriculum development, monitors teaching quality, and promotes continuous improvement in line with the school’s vision, KHDA requirements, and the UAE Ministry of Education expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Arabic A curriculum across the whole school.
• Support, coach, and mentor Arabic A teaching staff to improve teaching and learning.
• Monitor student progress and implement strategies to raise achievement.
• Ensure compliance with KHDA and UAE Ministry of Education requirements.
• Lead curriculum planning, assessment moderation, and quality assurance processes.
• Analyse assessment data to inform improvement planning.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, professional learning, and excellence within the Arabic department.
• Work closely with school leadership to achieve whole-school improvement priorities.
• Promote the Arabic language and UAE culture through school initiatives and events.

Person Specification

• Qualified teacher with relevant teaching qualifications.
• Proven leadership experience within an Arabic department.
• Strong understanding of UAE Ministry of Education and KHDA requirements.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
• A commitment to achieving outstanding outcomes for students and contributing to the wider school community.
