Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and qualified English Teacher to join our dynamic school community in Dubai. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality English language and literature instruction, foster a love of reading and writing, and support students’ academic and personal development in a multicultural learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons aligned with the school curriculum and standards.

  • Teach English language skills, literature, reading comprehension, writing, speaking, and listening.

  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, including EAL/ESL students.

  • Assess, record, and report on students’ progress using formative and summative assessments.

  • Provide constructive feedback to students to support improvement and achievement.

  • Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.

  • Integrate technology and innovative teaching strategies into lessons.

  • Participate in curriculum development, departmental meetings, and school events.

  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and well-being.

  • Support students’ social, emotional, and academic growth in line with school policies.

  • Comply with KHDA regulations, school policies, and safeguarding procedures.

Skills

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

  • Teaching qualification (PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent).

  • Minimum of 2 years’ teaching experience (international experience preferred).

  • Experience teaching a recognized curriculum (British, IB, American, CBSE, or similar).

  • Strong knowledge of English language and literature.

  • Experience working with students from diverse cultural backgrounds.

Skills and Competencies

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

  • Strong classroom management and organizational skills.

  • Ability to inspire and motivate students.

  • Adaptability and cultural sensitivity.

  • Proficiency in using educational technology and digital learning platforms.

  • Collaborative team player with a commitment to professional development.
