Support the identification and development of product offerings for the business. Owns/influences commercial business operating guidelines and has ownership/influence over product line business plan, guided by functional policy. There is autonomy within the role to enter into/execute commercial arrangements. High levels of commercial judgment are required to achieve outcomes required.

Roles and Responsibilities

  •  Provides commercial expertise on product line and business plan to inform strategy and decision making within sales campaign activity.
  • Interprets internal and external business challenges and makes recommendations to improve products, processes, services and pricing strategy. Utilizes understanding of industry trends to inform decision making and recommend solutions to enhance commercial offerings to achieve desired win rate.
  • Lead efforts to develop creative solutions to address complex issues and customer requirements.
  • Has the ability to evaluate quality of information received and questions conflicting data for analysis. Uses internal and external resources to help arrive at recommendations and decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to efficiently progress on deal activity and influence/drive campaign closure in partnership with sales team.
  • Lead cross functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. Communicate complex messages and negotiate internally to adopt a different point of view. 
  • Develop customer engagement strategy for assigned region(s) in coordination with Product Marketing, Sales and Boeing.
  • Understand and improve value sell and be able to effectively communicate to customers.
  • Support customer negotiations, ensuring contractual terms mitigate financial and execution risks for the Product Line.
  • Drive initiatives to improve the effectiveness of the Biz Ops function and coordination with other functions to execute on Product Line priorities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in customer facing roles, contract negotiations, Product Management, or Services.

  • Commercial acumen: deal factory experience with strong understanding of commercial value levers and customer’s perspective.
  • Technical Knowledge: solid understanding of technical aspects related to the products and services offered.  
  • FLIGHT DECK:  demonstrated application of FLIGHT DECK fundamentals and continuous improvement.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with customers, team members, and stakeholders. This includes both verbal and written communication.
  • Project Management: Proficiency in managing projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closing. Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies is beneficial.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to identify issues and develop effective solutions. This includes the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Skills in building and maintaining strong relationships with customers. Understanding customer needs and ensuring their satisfaction is crucial.
  • Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate terms and conditions with customers to achieve mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Time Management: Efficiently managing time and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines and deliverables.
  • Team Collaboration: Working effectively within a team and collaborating with various departments to achieve common goals.
