Job Description

  1. Plan, prepare, and deliver effective lessons that align with the school’s curriculum.
  2. Develop lesson plans, educational materials, and assessments that are age-appropriate and linguistically accessible.
  3. Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners, including high achievers and those needing additional support.
  4. Prepare students for internal assessments and external examinations.
  5. Assess, evaluate, and track student progress using formative and summative methods.
  6. Provide timely, constructive feedback on students’ assignments and assessments.
  7. Utilize technology and modern teaching aids to enhance instructional delivery.
  8. Contribute to department planning, curriculum development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  9. Participate in parent-teacher meetings, school events, staff development programs, and extracurricular activities as required.
  10. Ensure GEMS policies, procedures, and codes of conduct are followed at all times.

Skills

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Studies, (Master’s preferred).

  • Fluency in English; Arabic proficiency is an asset but not required.

  • Experience teaching Islamic Studies to non-Arabic speakers.

  • Strong knowledge of Islamic principles from authentic sources.

  • Ability to explain complex Islamic concepts in a simple and engaging manner.
