DESCRIPTION

Carrier Manager, SEND OPS is the Subject Matter Expert for their region, responsible for planning, execution, and delivery of operations projects. You will work closely with the Global Sales team. You are the go-to person for any customs and regulatory affairs, operations routing and scheduling, and carrier relationships. You are responsible for defining and setting up the operational processes and SOPs with carriers and internal Amazon stakeholders such as SPS, FC, and Finance. You will provide inputs to procurement and product teams for RFQs and BRDs, enable carrier onboarding, and handle customs, compliance, and other processes at origin and destination.

Key job responsibilities
• Manage daily queries and requests from Carriers and Internal Stakeholders leveraging internal tools and resources basis the standard operating procedures set by the overseas marketplaces. Escalate to Amazon internal stakeholders as necessary.
• Prepare weekly/monthly reports on Carrier related KPI metrics, analyze, identify outliers and engage with carriers to identify the cause. Communicate trends, brewing problems and solutions clearly to stakeholders
• Provide volume forecast to carriers during peak season and as the systems become available in Weekly/Monthly Cadence
• Document and measure standard work within country and between trading lanes to improve reliability and predictability and performance measurement.
• Translate basic business problem statements into analysis requirements; Influence and implement specified analytical approach
• Write SQL queries, create efficient outputs, pull internal & external data needed with standard query syntax; periodically identify more advanced methods of query optimization
• Cross-check pulled data against other published sources to determine fidelity, and drive actionable recommendations from analysis that impact a process or team
• Implement/deploy data visualization or communication tools (e.g., metrics dashboards, decks, flashes)

About the team
Amazon SEND is a Seller Central integrated Cross-Border Partner Carrier solution that enables global selling (GS) Sellers to book, ship, and track shipments from origin country to Amazon FCs in the destination country. SEND’s vision is to help spin Amazon’s FBA flywheel faster by enabling easy access to Amazon integrated, competitively priced, cross-border logistics solutions for all selling partners located anywhere in the world. SEND Operations Team manages shipment movement from start to finish through 3P carriers, on behalf of our customers.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– Bachelor’s degree in management, business administration, economics, engineering, marketing
– Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and analytical platforms
– Experience in developing requirements and formulating business metrics for reporting, familiarity with data visualization tools, e.g. Tableau
– Superior verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as the ability to work effectively with multiple teams and external organizations
– Excellent organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– Familiarity with Small Parcel, Ocean freight or Freight Forwarding industry is valued. Mandarin speaking abilities also valued.
– Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
– Experience in data mining, data management, reporting, and SQL queries
