Job Description

GEMS Winchester Private School Fujairah is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and caring Emirati Teaching Assistant to support teaching and learning across the school. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to help create a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment that enables all students to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  •          Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality learning experiences.
  •          Assist individual students and small groups with classroom activities and learning tasks.
  •          Help prepare and organize classroom resources and displays.
  •          Support students’ social, emotional, and behavioural development.
  •          Supervise students during lessons, break times, educational activities, and school events as required.
  •          Assist with maintaining a safe, secure, and stimulating learning environment.
  •          Support students with additional learning needs where required.
  •          Undertake administrative tasks related to classroom activities.
  •          Follow all school safeguarding, health and safety, and child protection policies and procedures.

Skills Description

  •          UAE National (Emirati) with a valid Family Book.
  •          Minimum high school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  •          Proficient in spoken and written English.
  •          Previous experience working with children in a school, nursery, or childcare setting is preferred.
  •          Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  •          Ability to work effectively as part of a team and support student learning and wellbeing.
