Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Secondary School Business Teacher to join our team from an immediate start.

This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about Business education and committed to supporting students to achieve success, particularly at GCSE level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging and well-structured Business lessons in line with the school’s curriculum and academic standards.

  • Teach and prepare students for GCSE Business examinations.

  • Use a variety of teaching strategies to inspire students and promote critical thinking.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive and positive learning environment.

  • Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners.

  • Establish an inclusive classroom culture that fosters curiosity, respect and a love of learning.

  • Communicate effectively with parents about student progress and take part in parent-teacher consultations.

Skills

Candidate Requirements

  • A degree in Business or a related field, with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE).

  • Proven experience teaching Business at secondary level, including GCSE.

  • Strong understanding of effective classroom practice and approaches to assessment.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents.

  • A commitment to professional development and delivering high-quality teaching and learning.
