Job Description
GEMS World Academy is looking for a passionate and creative Visual and Performing Arts Teacher to join our dynamic Secondary School team. This role is ideal for an experienced educator with a strong background in both visual and performing arts, and a commitment to inspiring students through expressive, collaborative, and innovative learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities:

Teach a range of Visual and Performing Arts subjects to Secondary students, aligned with international curriculum standards (IB MYP/DP preferred).

Design engaging, inquiry-based lessons that foster creativity, critical thinking, and artistic expression.

Organize and lead student performances, exhibitions, and arts events throughout the academic year.

Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects and contribute to the development of a comprehensive arts program.

Provide meaningful feedback and assessment to support student growth and achievement.

Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular involvement and events.
Skills
Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts, Performing Arts, Fine Arts, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

A recognized teaching qualification/ Valid teaching license.

Minimum 2–3 years of experience teaching visual and/or performing arts at the secondary level.

Experience with IB MYP/DP is highly desirable.

Strong classroom management skills and ability to inspire and motivate students.

Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities.
