Overview Of The Role:
The Sales Assistant is integral to generating sales and delivering a positive customer experience in the market hall area. The role involves supporting operational duties as assigned by the shopkeeper, which includes product arrangement and maintaining the sales floor. Success in this role is marked by meeting sales targets, upholding a high level of store cleanliness, and providing excellent customer service. The Sales Assistant must effectively communicate with customers and work collaboratively as part of a team.
What You Will Do:
- Meet or exceed weekly sales targets.
- Provide a positive first impression for the customer through an energetic attitude and adhering to the dress code.
- Greet customers immediately upon entering the store with a smile.
- Provide customers with current and relevant information.
- Maintain a sparkling clean and organized environment by upholding store standards and cleanliness.
- Assume and complete other duties as assigned by the shopkeeper.
- Participate in all market hall inventories.
- Attend all store meetings and related functions.
- Follow IKEA policies and procedures completely.
Required Skills To Be Successful:
- Proven ability to meet sales targets consistently.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Physical fitness to lift stock and stand for long periods.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
What Qualifies You For The Role:
- High School Degree.
- At least 1 year of retail sales experience.
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Ability to stand for a minimum of 8 hours.
- Physical ability to lift certain products.
