Job Summary

This role supports the Coverage Team by driving governance, business performance, and execution of key initiatives including business reviews, client portfolio management, people strategy, communication, and project delivery. The Team Lead works closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with cluster goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the implementation of country Corporate Investment Banking (CIB) client segment strategies and ensuring alignment of country with Cluster & Group.
  • Work with the CEOs & Coverage Heads, in the Middle East & Pakistan, to co-define a go-to-market strategy and execution plan.
  • Organise and lead yearly or ad hoc strategy days to ensure close communication and alignment between Coverage, products, and functional teams.
  • Lead the preparation of the annual Corporate Plan for the business section.
  • Review periodically the delivery of agreed business performance and cost targets to budget including metrics which are material and relevant for the Coverage scorecard.
  • Identify risks and opportunities to delivering the targeted business performance and propose remediation plans and actions.
  • Lead preparation for business reviews, as well other regular updates.
  • Manage Coverage cost budgets and cost centres in close coordination and with the support from HR and Finance.
  • Review and track frontline productivity using a standardised approach. Identify areas for improvement.

  • Problem solving skills to co-create client strategy, drive root-cause analysis, analyse business performance, etc.
  • Interpersonal skills in networking, influencing and decision making.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills with excellent eye for detail.
  • Highly proactive, demonstrating ambition, dedication, and pride in work.

Qualifications

  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree.
  • Detailed understanding of the Corporate Investment Banking business and product capabilities, such as sales process, relationship management, risk, product sales etc.
  • Willing to challenge the status quo, comfortable interacting with senior management.
  • Fluent in English & Arabic.
