Job Description
Key Responsibilites:
- Deliver high-quality, inclusive teaching that supports students with diverse learning needs within the IB and British curriculum frameworks.
- Collaborate with subject teachers to design and implement strategies that promote access, progress, and achievement for all learners.
- Use data effectively to monitor student progress and plan targeted interventions.
- Foster a positive, supportive classroom environment aligned with the IB Learner Profile and GEMS Core Values.
- Contribute to the development of inclusive practices across the secondary school, promoting equity and understanding among students and staff.
- Engage with parents and the wider school community to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
Skills
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education, or an initial degree plus a recognised teaching qualification (PGCE/PGDE/state teaching license or equivalent) with a specialism in Design & Technology.
- Minimum of three years’ experience teaching Secondary Design & Technology, ideally within an IB or British curriculum context (preferred but not required).
- Strong understanding of the IB philosophy and Approaches to Teaching and Learning.
- Proven ability to inspire, support, and challenge students to achieve their potential.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organisational skills.
- Availability to join January 2026.
