Indirect Tax Business Unit
PwC’s Indirect Tax team offers advisory services across VAT, Excise Tax, Customs, and eInvoicing, helping clients navigate complex regulations and optimize their tax strategies. The role involves delivering insights into planning, compliance, and technology, while staying ahead of evolving legislation and digital tax trends. About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Associate or Manager to join our Indirect Tax Practice in Dubai. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in Value-Added Tax (VAT), particularly within the financial services and insurance (FSI) sector. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering complex VAT advisory and implementation projects for a diverse portfolio of clients, including banks, financial institutions, insurance and reinsurance providers, and investment funds.
Key responsibilities
· Lead and manage large-scale VAT engagements across the FSI sector, ensuring high-quality delivery and client satisfaction.
· Provide strategic VAT advice tailored to the unique regulatory and operational challenges of financial and insurance clients.
· Leverage deep knowledge of EU VAT frameworks to support cross-border projects and ensure compliance with international standards.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement VAT solutions that align with clients’ business objectives.
· Coach and mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and high performance.
· Embrace and promote the use of technology and innovation to enhance service delivery and client outcomes.
· Uphold the firm’s professional and ethical standards, including compliance with PwC’s code of conduct and independence requirements.
What we’re looking for
· Proven experience in VAT advisory and compliance within the financial services and insurance sectors.
· Demonstrated expertise in EU VAT legislation and its application to FSI clients.
· Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to drive initiatives from planning through execution.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a track record of building trusted client relationships.
· A proactive mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and contribute to the growth of the practice.
