Amazon Operations is the backbone of the Amazon customer experience. In our fulfillment centers, millions of items are picked and packed annually, while our delivery teams ensure timely order delivery. Safety is our top priority, and our operations culture is defined by teamwork, diversity, and a shared work ethic. The Tanmia ‘Select’ Program is designed to develop future Emirati leaders who will drive our operations forward, supporting Amazon’s commitment to Emiratization and the UAE’s national workforce goals. Throughout your journey, you’ll be fully supported by a dedicated Amazonian mentor and an Emirati buddy who will guide your development and help you navigate Amazon’s culture. Business advocates will provide functional expertise and leadership insights across different operational areas. Your growth will be accelerated through structured learning sessions, access to Amazon’s global resources, and a two-week international assignment. This comprehensive support system, combined with regular feedback and coaching, is designed to prepare you for future leadership roles at Amazon.
Key job responsibilities
As a Tanmia ‘Select’ trainee, you’ll have the opportunity to apply your skills to impactful projects that enhance the functionality and service of our operations across Fulfillment Centers, Sortation Centers, Delivery Stations and Global Specialty Fulfilment. Key aspects of the role include:
• Complete an 18-month structured rotation program across key operational areas, including training modules and a two-week international assignment
• Learn Amazon Operations fundamentals through hands-on experience in Fulfillment Centers, Last-Mile Delivery, and Specialty Fulfillment
• Work with different teams to understand end-to-end operations and build cross-functional knowledge
• Participate in daily operational activities such as pre-shift meetings, flow discussions, and team huddles
• Lead rotation-specific projects that contribute to operational improvements
• Engage in both day and night shift operations to gain comprehensive operational understanding
• Develop leadership skills by shadowing experienced managers and gradually taking on team responsibilities

About the team
Tanmia ‘Select’ Community: As a Tanmia ‘Select’ trainee, you’ll be part of an exclusive cohort of UAE Nationals, forming a supportive community that empowers your growth and development. You’ll collaborate with peers and experienced Amazonians, broadening your perspectives and building a strong professional network.

Program Start Date:
The program commences in October 2025 and runs for 18 months.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• UAE National with a valid UAE passport and family book
• Bachelor’s degree/ Diploma from an accredited UAE university (graduated within the last 18 months)
• Maximum 18 months of total work experience (including internships)
• Fluency in both Arabic and English (spoken and written)
• Eligible to complete the full 18-month program
• Willingness to work various shifts, including nights, and potentially relocate within the UAE
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related fields
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify process improvements and innovative solutions
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, able to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
• Demonstrated leadership potential and ability to adapt in fast-paced environments
• Curiosity, proactivity, and willingness to take on challenges in an ambiguous, dynamic setting
• Passion for innovation and continuous improvement in operational processes
