Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable STEM Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in science, technology, engineering. The educator will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging curriculum that inspires students to explore and excel in these fields.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver innovative STEM and robotics lessons for children.
  • Integrate the latest EdTech tools and products into the curriculum to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Foster a creative and inclusive learning environment that encourages students to explore new ideas and solve problems.
  • Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Collaborate with other educators and staff to create interdisciplinary projects and activities. The educator must be able to horizontally map the curriculum to create Lego/robotics/stem relevance across subjects.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in STEM education and EdTech.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Teaching certification or relevant credentials in STEM or Computer Science education in preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in a STEM, robotics or makerspace environment.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and Scratch, and familiarity with LEGO, robotics, coding platforms, and other EdTech tools.
  • Strong understanding of STEM principles and the ability to integrate them into the curriculum.
  • Experience with hands-on, project-based learning and the ability to inspire creativity and critical thinking in students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Passion for education and a commitment to fostering a love of learning in students of all ages.

Skills

  • Knowledge of current trends in digital literacy and computational thinking.
  • Ability to design and implement interdisciplinary projects that combine multiple STEAM disciplines.
