Job Description
- Teach Physics to secondary grades (Board classes).
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Cambridge IGCSE Physics curriculum.
- Develop lesson plans, schemes of work, worksheets, and assessment materials.
- Prepare students thoroughly for IGCSE board examinations.
- Plan and conduct practical experiments in accordance with safety guidelines.
- Train students in experimental techniques, data analysis, and report writing.
- Identify individual learning needs and differentiate instruction accordingly.
- Support students in achieving high academic performance in board exams.
- Mentor and guide students for science-related competitions and projects.
- Maintain accurate student records, grades, and progress reports.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings and academic review sessions.
- Contribute to curriculum planning and academic development initiatives.
- Attend faculty meetings, professional development workshops, and school events.
- Adhere to GEMS policies and school policies.
Skills
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelors & Masters degree in Physics.
- B.Ed (Teacher Qualification Status)
- 3- 5 years of teaching experience in IGCSE or equivalent board curriculum.
- Strong knowledge of the Cambridge IGCSE Physics syllabus and assessment criteria.
- Experience teaching board classes with proven examination results.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Experience with extended/advanced level Physics (AS/A Level) is an advantage.
