Job Description

  1. Teach Physics to secondary grades (Board classes).
  2. Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Cambridge IGCSE Physics curriculum.
  3. Develop lesson plans, schemes of work, worksheets, and assessment materials.
  4. Prepare students thoroughly for IGCSE board examinations.
  5. Plan and conduct practical experiments in accordance with safety guidelines.
  6. Train students in experimental techniques, data analysis, and report writing.
  7. Identify individual learning needs and differentiate instruction accordingly.
  8. Support students in achieving high academic performance in board exams.
  9. Mentor and guide students for science-related competitions and projects.
  10. Maintain accurate student records, grades, and progress reports.
  11. Participate in parent-teacher meetings and academic review sessions.
  12. Contribute to curriculum planning and academic development initiatives.
  13. Attend faculty meetings, professional development workshops, and school events.
  14. Adhere to GEMS policies and school policies.

Skills

Qualifications & Requirements:

  1. Bachelors & Masters degree in Physics.
  2. B.Ed (Teacher Qualification Status)
  3. 3- 5 years of teaching experience in IGCSE or equivalent board curriculum.
  4. Strong knowledge of the Cambridge IGCSE Physics syllabus and assessment criteria.
  5. Experience teaching board classes with proven examination results.
  6. Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  7. Experience with extended/advanced level Physics (AS/A Level) is an advantage.
