Overview Of The Role:

  • The Repair Technician is primarily responsible for executing high-quality service, maintenance, and repair tasks on machinery and equipment to ensure minimal downtime and optimal customer satisfaction. The role involves both workshop and field operations, requiring robust technical skills, flexibility, and the ability to work under pressure. Key aspects include troubleshooting, diagnostics, customer interaction, and promoting a positive team environment. Success in the role is defined by effective task management, professional communication, and a commitment to safety and organizational standards.

What You Will Do:

Equipment Maintenance

  • Perform removal, installation, disassembly, and assembly of machine components such as engines, transmissions, axles, and other mechanical systems.
  • Carry out troubleshooting, diagnostics, and inspections on a wide range of systems to identify faults and determine repair solutions.
  • Conduct machine inspections and customer visits to generate additional service revenue and support customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all work performed, including job cards, time sheets, and service reports, in line with ISO standards.
  • Take responsibility for the upkeep of company assets and vehicles, and contribute to a safe, organized, and accident-free workplace.
  • Adapt quickly to changes in tasks, technology, and work conditions, and maintain high performance under pressure.

Customer Interaction

  • Maintain zero customer complaints related to behavior, attitude, or professionalism on-site or in the workplace.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with supervisors, colleagues, and customers.
  • Promote a culture of knowledge sharing and team collaboration, guiding less experienced technicians when necessary.
  • Encourage a team-oriented environment to support service excellence and productivity.

Performance Management

  • Effectively manage time and resources to meet deadlines and ensure timely completion of assigned work.
  • Deliver tasks with high attention to detail, complying with technical standards, specifications, and operating procedures.
  • Maintain good attendance, punctuality, and work ethics.
  • Vehicle up-down time, labor sales report, and increase in revenue generation.
  • Continuously develop technical knowledge and skills, keeping up to date with new products, systems, and procedures.

Required Skills To Be Successful:

  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
  • Proficient in disassembly, assembly, and installation of machine components such as engines, transmissions, axles.
  • Familiarity with hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Effective communication with customers and team members.

What Qualifies You For The Role:

  • Technical Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automotive Engineering.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of hands-on experience in servicing and repairing heavy machinery or related equipment.
  • Valid driving license and basic computer literacy for job reporting and documentation.
  • Willingness to work in both field and workshop environments.
