Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Curriculum Delivery
- Plan, prepare, and deliver art lessons in accordance with CBSE guidelines.
- Teach various art forms including drawing, painting, sculpture, and craft.
- Develop students’ creativity, imagination, and technical skills.
- Integrate art history and cultural awareness into lessons.
Student Development
- Encourage individual expression and confidence in students.
- Assess and evaluate students’ progress through assignments and projects.
- Provide constructive feedback and support improvement.
- Prepare students for exhibitions, competitions, and school events.
Classroom Management
- Maintain a safe, organized, and stimulating art classroom environment.
- Ensure proper use and care of art materials and equipment.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively in line with school policies.
Co-curricular Activities
- Organize art exhibitions, displays, and creative events.
- Participate in school functions, celebrations, and extracurricular programs.
Administrative Duties
- Maintain records of student performance and attendance.
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in staff meetings.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress.
Skills
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts / Visual Arts or related field.
- B.Ed. or teaching qualification (preferred/mandatory depending on school policy).
- Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience, preferably in a CBSE school.
- Knowledge of CBSE curriculum and assessment standards.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Proficiency in various art techniques and mediums.
