Description

Our Amazon International Policy & Press Communications team is looking for a PR Manager to cover the Middle East, Turkey and South Africa. Based in Dubai, you will be part of a fast-paced environment where adaptability and attention to detail drive success.

In this role, you will lead all issues management, policy communications and develop economic impact campaigns across this diverse region. We’re seeking someone who takes pride in managing complex reputational challenges and thrives on delivering results in a global communications environment. You will also have the opportunity to plan external campaigns on policy and economic-related topics and work alongside talented professionals throughout our broader PR team.

Working closely with our International team you will contribute to key team activities and projects and will be expected to demonstrate strong media relations skills in both traditional and non-traditional media. We value individuals who demonstrate strong ownership, take initiative, and put customers first. Your ability to anticipate needs and develop creative solutions will be essential.

You will collaborate with corporate PR and public policy teams to devise and implement strategies that protect and enhance Amazon’s reputation.

Key job responsibilities
You will develop communications programs where strategy may not be fully defined, requiring you to assess trends, analyze performance, and make recommendations that address business priorities – both reactive and proactive.
You will also serve as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders and demonstrate the ability to navigate complex policy and media landscapes while delivering impactful communications outcomes:
• Develop and execute reactive and proactive communications campaigns supporting Amazon’s reputational, policy objectives and demonstrate Amazon’s economic impact
• Lead program implementation in collaboration with internal teams across the broader Middle East region in close collaboration with our broader team capitals around the world
• Develop narratives and speaking points for external communications
• Create and manage content and assets, including oversight of agency-produced deliverables
• Serve as an Amazon spokesperson for relevant media inquiries
• Drive internal alignment to ensure consistent communications across regions
• Manage both proactive and reactive communication materials
• Build and maintain relationships with relevant local, international journalists and other external communicators
• Build and maintain strong partnerships with business stakeholders
• Manage confidential information with the highest level of discretion

Basic Qualifications

– Experience in professional communications or public relations
– Bachelor’s degree
– Speak, write, and read fluently in English
– Extensive experience in developing strategic communications materials for senior stakeholders
– Comprehensive understanding of the regional and national media and policy landscape
– Track record of developing and executing communications campaigns
– Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences

Preferred Qualifications

– Speak, write, and read fluently in Arabic
