MYP/DP Mathematics Teacher

GEMS World Academy is seeking an exceptional Mathematics Teacher with experience in the MYP and IB Diploma (DP) to join our world-class faculty. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a leading international school that fosters innovation, excellence, and holistic development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality Mathematics instruction aligned with the IB MYP and DP frameworks.
• Inspire and engage students through inquiry-based learning and real-world application of mathematical concepts.
• Design differentiated learning experiences that meet the needs of a diverse student population.
• Assess student progress using a variety of formative and summative strategies.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support interdisciplinary learning and school-wide initiatives.
• Contribute to the pastoral care and wellbeing of students as part of the wider school community.

Preferred qualifications:

• IB DP training in Mathematics: Analysis & Approaches and/or Applications & Interpretation • Experience teaching both SL and HL levels of DP Mathematics • Strong understanding of IB philosophy and assessment criteria

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics or a related field.
• A recognized teaching qualification./ valid Teaching license.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience teaching Mathematics within the IB MYP and DP programmes.
• Demonstrated understanding of international education and inquiry-based pedagogy.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Commitment to professional growth and continuous learning.
• 2–3 years (minimum) of high school math teaching experience • Experience in an international or IB World School setting is highly desirable
