Job Description
GEMS United Indian School is looking for an enthusiastic, qualified and experienced Islamic Studies Teacher to join our school in September 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the curriculum and school standards.
- Teach core subjects using differentiated instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources—including digital tools and technology—to enhance learning experiences.
- Incorporate critical thinking, problem-solving, and inquiry-based learning strategies into daily instruction.
- Create a supportive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that fosters independence, confidence, and curiosity.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of student achievement and prepare detailed progress reports.
- Establish and maintain clear classroom routines and high expectations for behaviour and academic work.
- Manage the classroom effectively to ensure safety, engagement, respect, and positive learning behaviour.
- Adhere to and uphold all school policies related to discipline, safeguarding, and student welfare.
- Build positive relationships with students and support their social–emotional well-being.
- Participate actively in extracurricular activities, school events, assemblies, and educational field trips.
- Ensure the safety, welfare, and well-being of students at all times.
- Ensure all GEMS policies, procedures, and the Code of Conduct are consistently followed.
Skills Description
The successful candidate must have:
· A recognized and relevant teaching qualification (BA; MA and B.Ed in Islamic Studies) with attestation and degree equivalency.
· Proven teaching experience of 2 years in the respective subject and strong subject knowledge.
· Effective classroom management and communication skills.
· Proficient in the use of digital tools and educational technologies for instruction and assessment.
