Job Description
GEMS Al Barsha National School is seeking a proactive and dedicated Exam and Attendance Officer. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing school that combines the National Curriculum for England with a strong focus on UAE national values, culture, and identity.
Key Responsibilities:
Examination Planning & Coordination:
- Develop and implement examination timetables in compliance with regulatory standards and school policies.
- Liaise with subject teachers, department heads, and external examiners to ensure appropriate exam formats and assessment criteria.
- Organize examination venues to accommodate all students, ensuring smooth exam delivery.
Examination Administration:
- Manage secure storage, handling, and distribution of exam materials in line with examination board regulations.
- Coordinate invigilators, providing clear instructions and support.
- Maintain meticulous records of exam attendance, seating arrangements, and accommodations.
- Oversee exam conduct to ensure compliance with regulations and address any irregularities effectively.
Compliance & Documentation:
- Stay informed about examination regulations and ensure adherence to updated guidelines.
- Maintain secure and confidential records of exams, results, and related documentation, adhering to data protection regulations.
- Prepare and submit reports to examination boards and relevant authorities.
Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other database systems for data analysis and charting.
- IT literacy with the ability to manage examination data systems effectively.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Proactive with a willingness to learn and acquire new skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to present information clearly to diverse audiences
