Director of Sport

We are seeking to hire an outstanding Director of Sport to join our team March, 2026

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Leadership:

  – Develop a strategic vision for the sports department and Physical Education curriculum that aligns with the school’s overall educational goals.

  – Lead the planning and execution of sports events, tournaments, and inter-school competitions to showcase students’ athletic achievements.

  – Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate sports and physical education into the school’s broader educational strategy.

2. Sports Program Management:

  – Oversee the day-to-day operations of the sports department, including staff management, budget allocation, and facility maintenance.

  – Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of students participating in sports activities.

  – Foster a positive and inclusive sports environment that encourages participation, skill development, and sportsmanship.

3. Curriculum Development:

  – Design, review, and enhance a comprehensive Physical Education curriculum that caters to different age groups and promotes physical fitness, motor skills, and healthy lifestyles.

  – Integrate modern teaching methodologies, technology, and best practices to create engaging and effective PE classes.

4. Staff Development:

  – Recruit, train, and mentor sports coaches and Physical Education instructors to ensure they provide high-quality instruction and guidance to students.

  – Conduct regular evaluations and provide feedback to staff members to enhance their teaching and coaching abilities.

5. Community Engagement:

  – Collaborate with parents, students, and community stakeholders to promote the importance of physical education and sports in a well-rounded education.

  – Develop partnerships with local sports clubs, organizations, and institutions to provide additional opportunities for student engagement and development.

6. Performance Evaluation:

  – Monitor and assess the progress of students in sports activities and Physical Education classes, and implement strategies for continuous improvement.

  – Analyze data and student feedback to identify areas for growth and tailor programs to meet students’ needs and interests.

Qualifications:

– A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Sports Management, Physical Education, or a related field.

– Proven experience in sports program management, preferably in an educational setting.

– Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.

– In-depth knowledge of sports coaching, training techniques, and curriculum development.

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, parents, and staff.

– Understanding of safety protocols and risk management in sports and physical education environments.

– Passion for promoting physical fitness, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles among students.
