Deputy Head of Secondary – August 2026

We are seeking an experienced and inspirational Deputy Head of Secondary to join our leadership team in August 2026. The successful candidate will support the Head of Secondary in providing strategic direction, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning, and promoting a positive, inclusive school culture that enables every student to thrive.

This role is ideal for a strong middle or senior leader ready to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic secondary school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Deputise for the Head of Secondary as required. 

·       Oversee teaching, learning, and assessment in Secondary phases.

·       Support department heads and teachers with curriculum implementation.

·       Lead behaviour management, wellbeing initiatives, and pastoral programmes.

·       Drive school improvement and support accreditation processes.

·       Build positive partnerships with students, parents, and staff.

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or Bachelor of Arts in English and PGCE or equivalent.

• Minimum 3 years of teaching experience, preferably with leadership responsibilities.

• Strong understanding of UK curriculum frameworks.
