BU Description
The Financial Services Consulting team at an unspecified company offers a comprehensive range of services to clients in the banking and financial services industry. The team assists clients with strategy and revenue growth by developing business plans, optimizing revenue generation, and analyzing product portfolios. They also provide operational excellence services such as organizational restructuring, corporate governance development, performance management, and cost optimization. Additionally, the team offers risk consulting services including risk appetite definition, framework development, and risk reviews. They also assist with technology enablement through system selections and implementation program management, as well as analytics.
The Risk and Regulatory Consulting team provides advisory services in the area of risk and regulatory matters. The work we do includes providing regulatory advice, assessing the state of compliance with regulatory requirements, and formulating recommendations for processes and controls to better comply with industry/market practices, regulatory requirements and regulators’ expectations. We also provide benchmarking for financial institutions. Our focus areas are Regulatory compliance for banking regulations, Data Governance & Quality advisory, Risk-Finance alignment.
- Collaborate with engagement team members to advise financial services clients such as asset managers, banks, or insurance companies on areas relating to risk, regulation, data, and compliance
- Assist in development and implementation of new risk and regulatory strategies, policies, and capabilities
- Support financial services clients in their journey to comply with international and local regulations
- Support financial services clients in their operational and cultural transformation in areas such as Data Governance, Enterprise Risk Management, Risk and Finance Alignment, Board Governance etc.
- Contribute to the maintenance of high quality client relationships by producing exceptional deliverables for clients
- Conduct review and analysis of credit risk, BCBS 239, operational risk, including providing coaching to junior staff on engagements
- Demonstrate ability to apply judgement, initiative and lateral thought to problem-solving
- Supporting Engagement managers in the development of the Risk team.

- Experience in the following domains:
- Risk Modeling and Validation – IFRS 9 models, scorecards, rating models
- Credit Risk/Market Risk
- Regulatory Advisory – Basel III/IV, Stress Testing, RRP
- Asset Liability Management related advisory experience
- Digital Banks
- Developing models using Machine Learning
- Climate Risk (Preferable but not mandatory)
- Good presentation skills, both oral and written
- Team player who works effectively under pressure and have the ability to multi-task and prioritise workload and with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity of the key strategic business drivers, regulatory constraints and operational process requirements across financial services is a plus
- Good interpersonal and organisational skills
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, and Economics, Technology or other related major required.
Years of Experience: 3-7 years of experience in the Financial Services field. In depth previous experience with Risk & Regulations.
Previous experience within the Middle East is a plus, particularly towards the latter part of the career.
