POSITION SUMMARY

Maximize revenue across Special Corporate, Extended Stays, Groups, and Catering segments by managing assigned accounts, identifying opportunities, and fostering long-term client relationships. Support the Director of Sales – Corporate and Government by achieving individual and team goals while adhering to Marriott standards, policies, and LSOPs. The role requires proficiency in tools like Knowland, Cvent, Agency360, Demand360, and MarRFP to generate leads and grow account production, as well as in Microsoft Office and Opera. Work closely with internal departments, including Revenue Management, Events Booking Centre, and Events Planning, to ensure seamless execution of bookings and exceptional client service. Participate in client entertainment, trade shows, and sales calls to build rapport and secure business opportunities.                    

Policies and Procedures

  • Follow all Marriott standards, LSOPs, and compliance guidelines in all sales activities.
  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of RFPs through MarRFP and maintain updated client data in sales platforms.
  • Keep the Opera system “clean”, maintain accurate data and update the company profiles on a regular basis. 
  • Adhere to pricing and approval processes, consulting with the Director of Revenue Management, Director of Sales – Corporate and Government and Director of Sales & Distribution as needed.

Client Relations

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with assigned Special Corporate accounts, acting as the primary point of contact.
  • Identify client needs and provide tailored solutions for transient, group, extended stays, and catering requirements.
  • Conduct client entertainment and attend joint sales calls, when needed, with the Director of Sales to enhance service delivery and secure business.
  • Conduct a minimum of 20 sales calls a week (visiting clients in their offices by appointment or doing a site inspection for them on-property).
  • Conduct regular sales blitz in the designated business areas in the UAE, as advised by the Director of Sales – Corporate & Government. Submit the sales blitz reports in a timely manner and identify the high potential new local corporate accounts.

Communication

  • Use clear, professional communication in all interactions (phone, email, or in-person).
  • Draft, review, and proofread documents (e.g., proposals, contracts) to ensure accuracy.
  • Answer phone calls with appropriate etiquette and handle guest inquiries efficiently.
  • Know the BDRC call standards and follow them at all times.

Working with Others

  • Work closely with DOS, DOSD, DORM to align pricing strategies with market trends.
  • Partner with internal teams, including Events Booking Centre and Events Planning, to ensure seamless execution of group and catering bookings.
  • Collaborate with the Global Sales Office (GSO) and attend roadshows or trade shows to expand the corporate client base

Reporting and Analysis

  • Track and analyze account production, lead conversion rates, and revenue performance.
  • Prepare regular reports for the Director of Sales, providing insights into client activity and sales progress (including weekly activities reports).
  • Maintain updated records in sales systems, ensuring data accuracy for effective decision-making.

Development and Learning

  • Participate in training programs to enhance knowledge of Marriott systems, corporate sales strategies, and market trends.
