Job Description
We are currently seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Chemistry Teacher to join our dedicated team and inspire our students.
Job Overview: The Chemistry Teacher will be responsible for teaching chemistry to students at both the iGCSE and A Level. This role involves creating engaging lesson plans, assessing student progress, and contributing to the development of the school’s science curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver comprehensive chemistry lessons that meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Develop and implement curriculum and instructional materials that align with iGCSE and A Level standards.
- Evaluate and monitor student progress through assignments, exams, and laboratory experiments.
- Provide constructive feedback and support to students to help them achieve their academic goals.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the chemistry program and share best practices.
- Participate in school activities, meetings, and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and other required documentation.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Education, or a related field (a master’s degree is preferred).
- Teaching certification or significant teaching experience.
- Experience with the iGCSE and A Level examination boards.
- Strong understanding of chemistry principles and educational practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Proficiency with educational technology and tools.
