RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support Islamic Origination team in achieving the quantitative and qualitative performance objectives for the assigned region/countries – covering Capital markets, Financing Solutions, Leverage & Acquisition finance, Project & Structured finance, Financial Markets etc.
- Support senior team members in delivering the overall Islamic budget.
Strategy
- Explore / develop new markets and relationships
- Embed Saadiq across Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) businesses
- Maintain market intelligence on different markets where Islamic products are offered, and track competitors moves
Business
- Support and deliver Islamic Origination business budget in all assigned regions / geographies
- Build strong working relationships with CIB relationship teams and key conventional Product partners (Capital Markets, Financing Solutions, Leverage & Acquisition Finance, Project & Structured Finance, Financial Markets) across all regions to jointly market/pitch, originate, structure, execute, and distribute Islamic structured deals.
- Prepare pitchbooks and other marketing materials for internal and client marketing activities.
- Manage / support end-to-end deal execution including deal structuring, preparing term sheets, negotiating terms (pertaining to Shariäh compliance) with the client, securing mandates and dealing with external/ internal counsel to develop and review facility documentation.
- Seek guidance/ secure approvals from the Bank’s Shariah advisors to ensure that the transaction remains in line with Shariah compliance requirements.
- Develop relationships with key Islamic investors (Banks/Fls) to syndicate and distribute transactions, working with senior transactors.
- Work with the Bank’s operations and processing teams to ensure proper execution of the transactions and post-execution follow-ups and trainings.
- Co-ordinate with Product Development unit to develop and tailor products & solutions to suit client needs, and in line with market offerings.
- Liaise with external industry publications for marketing strategies, award write-ups and submissions, case studies etc.

Qualification
- Education – Post Graduate / Graduate in relevant field
- Training – Experience in Corporate and/or Investment Banking; knowledge of Islamic banking preferred
- Languages – English & Arabic
