Job Summary

  • Macro Structuring is part of the Global Structuring team in SCB’s Markets division, providing global coverage of the full spectrum of Interest Rate and FX products (from vanilla to exotic), through our network of product specialists located across markets
  • The Africa and Middle East (“AME”) Markets Structuring team is responsible for delivering structured products and solutions across our client base in the region across structured hedging, investments and financing
  • This role is an Associate or Associate Director (depending on experience) within the AME Macro Structuring team

Job Responsibilities

  • Support senior members of the AME Macro Structuring team in delivering structured macro business across both Africa and the Middle East
  • Identifying, pricing and pitching suitable FX and Interest Rate solutions addressing clients’ needs
  • Develop and deliver product expertise and collaborate with global structuring team toward delivering FX/Rates solutions, including cross-border transactions
  • Coordinating with business partners within the bank, including Sales, Trading, Legal, Quants and Lending teams both regionally and globally
  • Responsible for driving and facilitating macro derivative trades in the Bank from ideas generation through to pricing, negotiation and execution
  • Adhering to the bank’s Markets transaction processes, policies, and regulatory approvals

Skills and Experience

Skills

  • Outstanding product knowledge and technical expertise across structured products, derivatives pricing and pay-offs
  • Experience of Markets structured business in Africa and/or Middle East is preferred, with some experience in credit structuring a positive
  • Understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks required, in particular ISDA as well as bespoke documentation and margining arrangement

Qualifications and Experience 

  • Experience, preferably within a Markets Structuring or related role
  • Bachelors or Master’s Degree (preferably Mathematics, Science or Engineering-based)
  • General understanding and ability to price structured products/derivatives and think analytically.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and team ethic
  • Self-motivated, innovative and adaptable
  • Ability to run multiple projects in parallel, excellent organizational skills
  • Strong attention to details and good markets knowledge
  • Quick learner and ability to self-teach
  • Role is based in Dubai
