Teacher of English -TGT

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding and passionate Teacher of English who is committed to inspiring a love for language, literature, and communication among young learners.

The successful candidate will be an exemplary classroom practitioner with exceptional proficiency in spoken and written English, a strong understanding of contemporary pedagogical practices, and the ability to contribute meaningfully to the school’s literacy and language development initiatives.

Key Requirements

• Regular Bachelor’s Degree in English and B.Ed. in English.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of successful teaching experience in Grades 5 – 10
• Demonstrable excellence in spoken and written English, with impeccable grammar, vocabulary, and communication skills.
• Strong understanding of language acquisition, literacy development, and effective English teaching methodologies.
• Ability to create engaging, student-centered learning experiences that foster critical thinking, creativity, and a love for reading and writing.
• Competence in integrating educational technology and innovative teaching strategies into classroom practice.
• Experience in designing assessments and using data to improve student outcomes.
• Excellent classroom management and interpersonal skills.

• Contribute actively to school-wide language and literacy initiatives, including reading programmes, creative writing activities, public speaking events, debates, elocution competitions, literary clubs, and language enrichment projects.

• Demonstrate the ability to mentor and inspire students beyond the classroom.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues to strengthen language learning across the curriculum.
• Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in English Language and Literature education.
