We at GEMS International School, Dubai Hills are now welcoming applications from experienced Whole School Arabic A Coordinator, with opportunities available for August 2026.
Job Purpose
The Whole School Arabic A Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the delivery and development of the Arabic A curriculum across the Primary and Secondary phases. The role supports high-quality teaching and learning, ensures curriculum continuity, monitors student progress, and works collaboratively with staff to promote excellence in Arabic language education in line with the school’s vision, KHDA requirements, UAE Ministry of Education expectations, and IB standards where applicable.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the planning, delivery, and review of the Arabic A curriculum across the whole school.
- Support and mentor Arabic A teachers to promote high-quality teaching and learning.
- Monitor student achievement and use assessment data to drive improvement.
- Ensure compliance with KHDA, UAE Ministry of Education, and IB curriculum requirements.
- Lead curriculum planning, moderation, and standardisation activities.
- Promote the Arabic language, UAE culture, and national identity through whole-school initiatives and events.
- Work collaboratively with school leaders to implement whole-school improvement priorities.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration across Primary and Secondary Arabic A teams.
Skills
Person Specification
- Qualified teacher with relevant teaching qualifications.
- Experience teaching Arabic A within an international school setting.
- Strong understanding of KHDA, UAE Ministry of Education, and IB curriculum requirements.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
