Job Description
Due to the continued growth and success of GEMS Metropole School Al Waha, we are seeking to appoint an exceptional KS2 Lead Practitioner to join our outstanding Primary team from August 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and highly effective primary educator to take on a key leadership role, driving excellence in teaching and learning across Key Stage 2 while contributing to the strategic development of our thriving school community. The successful candidate will be passionate about raising standards, supporting colleagues through coaching and professional development, and ensuring outstanding outcomes for all pupils.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead and model outstanding teaching and learning practices across Key Stage 2.
• Support the development and implementation of innovative curriculum initiatives.
• Coach, mentor and inspire colleagues to continually improve classroom practice.
• Use data effectively to drive pupil progress and attainment.
• Contribute to whole-school improvement planning and strategic priorities.
• Foster a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment for all pupils.
• Actively contribute to the wider life of the school through enrichment activities, community events and parent engagement.
Skills
The Successful Candidate Will:
• Embody and role model our core values of curiosity, confidence, creativity, respect and kindness.
• Hold a BEd or Bachelor’s degree with PGCE/PGDE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Have substantial experience teaching within Key Stage 2.
• Demonstrate a proven track record of outstanding classroom practice and pupil outcomes.
• Have experience leading, coaching or mentoring colleagues to improve teaching and learning.
• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be highly motivated, innovative and committed to continuous professional growth.
• Aspire to work within a world-class international school environment with excellent career progression opportunities.
