Job Description

Due to the continued success of GEMS Metropole School Al Waha, we are looking to recruit an outstanding Secondary Music Teacher for August 2026.

The Music Department plays a vital role in the life of the school, providing students with opportunities to develop their performance, composition and musical appreciation skills. Skills

Successful candidates will:

• Embody and role model our core values of curiosity, confidence, creativity, respect and kindness.

• Hold a BEd or Bachelor’s degree in Music or a related subject, together with a PGCE/PGDE or equivalent teaching qualification.

• Have proven experience teaching Music across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, including GCSE and A Level or equivalent curricula.

• Demonstrate a passion for music education and a commitment to developing students’ musical talents.

• Have the ability to deliver outstanding teaching and learning experiences that inspire and challenge all learners.

• Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with colleagues, students and parents.

• Have experience leading or contributing to concerts, productions, ensembles, choirs or other extracurricular music activities.

• Aspire to work within a world-class school environment with genuine opportunities for career development.

• Be willing to make a positive contribution to school life through active engagement in extracurricular programmes and community events.
