Job Description
Job Purpose
We are seeking to appoint an outstanding Teacher of BTEC Creative Media to join our team in September 2026. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality teaching across BTEC Creative Media, inspiring students to develop creativity, technical skills, and critical understanding of media industries.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, innovative, and high-quality lessons in BTEC Creative Media at Level 3 and/or Level 3.
- Demonstrate strong subject knowledge across media theory, production, and industry practices.
- Plan, prepare, and assess learning effectively, ensuring differentiation to meet the needs of all learners.
- Maintain accurate records of student attainment, progress, and assessment data.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that encourages creativity, innovation, and independent thinking.
- Integrate digital tools, editing software, and media technologies to enhance teaching and learning.
- Prepare students for internal and external assessments, coursework, and examinations.
- Contribute to curriculum development and departmental planning.
- Support co-curricular and extra-curricular activities such as media clubs, productions, exhibitions, or school events.
- Uphold school policies, procedures, and professional standards at all times.
- Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and leadership to support student progress and wellbeing.
- Participate fully in staff meetings, professional development, and performance management processes.
Skills
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Media Studies, Creative Media, Film, Communications, or a related field.
- Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
- Experience teaching Level 2 or Level 3BTEC Creative Media preferred. Other subjects such as AS & A Level Digital Media & Design would be considered.
- Proven ability to deliver outstanding classroom practice and inspire students.
- Strong understanding of media production processes and industry trends.
- Commitment to inclusive education and personalised learning.
- Enthusiasm for contributing to wider school life and enrichment programmes.
