Overview Of The Role:
- The Senior Tax Analyst-Group Tax Operations is charged with executing tax compliance, tax reporting, tax accounting, and audit readiness tasks. The role plays a crucial part in ensuring accurate tax compliance and reporting, maintaining robust documentation, and supporting audits. The analyst works closely with Finance teams, external advisors, and Group Tax to align with corporate governance policies and strategic objectives.
What You Will Do:
Tax Compliance
- Prepare CIT/Zakat returns
- Maintain tax compliance calendar
- Accurate preparation of CIT/Zakat returns
Tax Accounting & Reporting
- Prepare tax provision schedules and supporting calculations
- Reconcile tax balances with general ledger
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual tax reporting requirements
- Assist in financial statement tax disclosures
- Accurate reconciliations
- Clean tax balance sheet accounts
Audit Readiness & Documentation
- Maintain organized tax documentation repository
- Prepare audit-ready files including computations and supporting schedules
- Support internal and external audit queries
- Complete documentation
- Smooth audit process
Liaison with Group Tax
- Act as the operational point of contact between local Finance teams and Group Tax
- Provide required tax schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation to Group Tax
- Ensure alignment with Group Tax policies, reporting standards, and compliance frameworks
- Support implementation of Group Tax initiatives, templates, and governance requirements
- Escalate tax risks and significant matters to Group Tax in a timely manner
- Timely and accurate reporting to Group Tax
- Alignment with Group Tax standards
- Positive stakeholder feedback
Data Analysis & Reconciliation
- Analyse tax data and reconcile differences between tax reports and financial records
- Identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions
- Support tax-related financial analysis
- Reduced reconciliation variances
- Improved data integrity
Group Tax Operations Support
- Maintain tax trackers, dashboards, and compliance schedules
- Support system-based tax processes and workflows
- Coordinate with Finance and other stakeholders to resolve tax-related issues
- Efficient operational workflow
- Strong cross-functional collaboration
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to enhance tax operational efficiency
- Support automation initiatives and system improvements
- Contribute to continuous improvement of tax processes
- Improved process efficiency

Required Skills To Be Successful:
- Strong analytical and reconciliation abilities.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel.
- Must possess tax audit experience.
- ERP/SAP expertise – MUST
- Tax Audit background – MUST
- Strong hands on automation implementations for tax compliance and audit readiness.
What Qualifies You For The Role:
- Certified in Tax, Finance, or Accounting.
- Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Understanding of tax compliance and accounting principles.
- 5+ years of experience in tax compliance, reporting, or Group Tax Operations.
- Strong analytical and reconciliation skills.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- ERP/SAP knowledge.
- Background in tax auditing.
- Experience in automation implementations for compliance and audit readiness.
