Job Description

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver age-appropriate lessons aligned with the school curriculum.
  • Foster a positive classroom culture focused on student engagement, motivation, and active learning.
  • Assess and monitor student progress through formative and summative evaluations.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessments, and academic performance.
  • Develop and implement creative teaching strategies and activities to cater to diverse learning needs.
  • Establish clear classroom rules and expectations for behavior and routines.
  • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student development and well-being.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and support staff to ensure a holistic approach to student growth.
  • Assist in the planning and organizing of school events and functions (eg inter-house competitions, concerts, school plays, prize days etc).
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times.
  • Ensure GEMS policies, procedures, and codes of conduct are followed at all times.

Qualification:

  1. A minimum of bachelor’s degree in Art.
  2. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  3. Proven teaching experience of minimum 3 years
