Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and experienced English Teacher to join our secondary department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons for IGCSE and A-Level English courses in line with the British curriculum.
- Develop students’ skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening to achieve academic success.
- Set and mark assignments, coursework, and examinations, providing constructive feedback to support student development.
- Monitor and track student progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing intervention strategies as needed.
- Support students’ personal and academic growth through mentoring and guidance.
- Maintain high standards of classroom management and a positive learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop schemes of work, resources, and extracurricular activities.
- Participate in department meetings, professional development, and school events.
- Stay up-to-date with curriculum developments and best practices in British education.
Skills
- Innovative and creative approach to teaching literature and language.
- Experience integrating technology and digital tools into lessons.
- Passion for extracurricular activities such as debating, drama, or creative writing.
- Proven experience teaching IGCSE and A-Level English within the British curriculum.
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
