Job Description

  • Lead the school wide innovation strategy aligned with the school’s vision and excellence plan.
  • Identify emerging trends in education, including AI, EdTech, STEAM, and experiential learning.
  • Lead innovation projects from conception to evaluation across all phases of the school.
  • Promote research-informed teaching practices across all phases / subjects.
  • Support integration of project-based learning, design thinking, and interdisciplinary approaches.
  • Collaborate with Heads of Department to embed future skills (critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, digital literacy).
  • Lead pilot programs and scale successful initiatives.
  • Design and deliver professional learning on innovation and modern pedagogy.
  • Facilitate innovation workshops and learning communities.
  • Develop student innovation programs (e.g., makerspaces, coding clubs, entrepreneurship initiatives).
  • Organize innovation challenges, hackathons, or exhibitions.
  • Build partnerships with universities, startups, and industry leaders.
  • Present innovation proposals and progress reports to Senior Leadership Team.

Skills

  • Master’s degree in Engineering / Computer Science
  • Successful educational technology leadership, organization, and management skills with 4 years UAE experience in relevant role.
  • Proactive leader who can identify problems, plan initiatives, and provide comprehensive solutions
  • Strong skills in writing, listening and communication, and collaboration
  • Positive, professional, and collaborative disposition supportive of both the school and GEMS Education
