GEMS NEW MILLENNIUM SCHOOL – AL KHAIL
Job Description
- Lead the school wide innovation strategy aligned with the school’s vision and excellence plan.
- Identify emerging trends in education, including AI, EdTech, STEAM, and experiential learning.
- Lead innovation projects from conception to evaluation across all phases of the school.
- Promote research-informed teaching practices across all phases / subjects.
- Support integration of project-based learning, design thinking, and interdisciplinary approaches.
- Collaborate with Heads of Department to embed future skills (critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, digital literacy).
- Lead pilot programs and scale successful initiatives.
- Design and deliver professional learning on innovation and modern pedagogy.
- Facilitate innovation workshops and learning communities.
- Develop student innovation programs (e.g., makerspaces, coding clubs, entrepreneurship initiatives).
- Organize innovation challenges, hackathons, or exhibitions.
- Build partnerships with universities, startups, and industry leaders.
- Present innovation proposals and progress reports to Senior Leadership Team.
Skills
- Master’s degree in Engineering / Computer Science
- Successful educational technology leadership, organization, and management skills with 4 years UAE experience in relevant role.
- Proactive leader who can identify problems, plan initiatives, and provide comprehensive solutions
- Strong skills in writing, listening and communication, and collaboration
- Positive, professional, and collaborative disposition supportive of both the school and GEMS Education
