Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and creative Art Teacher to join our team for the next academic year. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and inspiring Art lessons in line with the British curriculum, fostering creativity and artistic expression across Key Stages.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Art & Design lessons aligned with the British curriculum
  • Inspire students to develop creative skills, confidence, and artistic techniques
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress effectively
  • Create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment
  • Contribute to curriculum development and cross-curricular initiatives
  • Organise and support art exhibitions, displays, and extracurricular activities
  • Maintain high standards of classroom practice, health, and safety
  • Actively contribute to the wider life of the school

Skills

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • A recognised teaching qualification (BA or equivalent)
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching Art within the British curriculum
  • Strong subject knowledge across a range of artistic media and techniques
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • A commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
  • Enthusiasm for collaborative working and continuous professional development
