Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Secondary SEN Teacher to join our GEMS Winchester School Dubai. As part of GEMS Winchester School – a school where sustainability and innovation shape our educational approach—you will be joining a dynamic, forward-thinking community.
- Deliver high-quality, inspiring science lessons, using experimental/inquiry-based methods, adapting for diverse needs.
- Design and implement inclusive strategies, provide individual support, create Individualized Education Plans.
- Assess, record, and report on progress, using data to tailor teaching and support.
- Work with the SEN team, classroom teachers, parents, and specialists to build a strong support network.
- Utilize emerging tech and alternative communication tools.
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding student progress.
Skills
Qualified Teacher with a B.Ed and Degree in Science subject, PGCE/PGDE and SEN specialism preferred.
- Proven experience teaching and supporting secondary-age students with additional learning needs
- Strong understanding of inclusive practices and the ability to implement effective support strategies.
- A commitment to ongoing professional growth.
- Creativity, enthusiasm, and a passion for inclusive education.
- Strong IT and communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with students and parents
