Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Homeroom Leadership: Take on the role of a homeroom teacher for a designated PYP grade level, providing a supportive and engaging learning environment.
- Curriculum Implementation: Implement the Primary Years Programme, ensuring that lessons are inquiry-based and aligned with the school’s mission and values.
- Student Assessment: Regularly assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and supporting individualized learning needs.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other teachers, specialists, and staff members to create an integrated and cohesive educational experience for students.
- Parent Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with parents through regular updates, conferences, and other channels to foster a strong home-school partnership.
- Professional Development: Actively engage in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay informed about current educational trends and best practices.
Skills
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Teaching certification and/or accreditation.
- Previous 2-3 experience teaching is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
