Job Description
· The Website Manager & SEO Lead will oversee the management, optimization, and evolution of all GEMS Education school websites and microsites, ensuring a seamless digital experience for parents, students, and stakeholders. This role will combine strategic oversight, content governance, and performance analytics to enhance visibility, engagement, and conversion across the GEMS digital ecosystem.
· You’ll be the guardian of website quality, performance, and SEO excellence — ensuring every page reflects the GEMS brand promise and drives measurable enrolment growth.
1.Website Management & Optimization
- Manage and maintain the GEMS Education group and school websites, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely updates.
- Oversee UX/UI improvements and coordinate with design and tech teams to enhance user experience and navigation.
- Implement a content governance framework, ensuring all web content aligns with GEMS brand guidelines, tone, and compliance requirements.
- Monitor website uptime, functionality, and technical performance with IT and hosting providers.
2. SEO & Performance Marketing
- Develop and execute a comprehensive SEO strategy to improve rankings, visibility, and lead generation across all GEMS schools.
- Conduct keyword research, on-page optimization, metadata management, and backlink outreach.
- Work closely with Digital Marketing to ensure alignment between SEO, SEM, and paid media efforts.
- Set and monitor KPIs including organic traffic growth, conversion rates, bounce rates, and keyword ranking performance.
- Regularly analyze data using Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, and Tag Manager, producing monthly insights reports.
3. Content & Conversion Optimization
- Collaborate with the Brand and Content teams to develop high-performing landing pages and lead-nurturing experiences.
- Optimize content for readability, search intent, and engagement (blogs, parent stories, press releases, etc.).
- Support campaign landing pages for enrolment and marketing campaigns with A/B testing and performance tracking.
4. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Partner with Marketing, Admissions, and School teams to align content updates with enrolment priorities.
- Work with external agencies on website redesigns, technical SEO, and analytics implementation.
- Train internal teams and school marketing leads on basic web management and SEO best practices.
5. Analytics & Reporting
- Maintain a central web performance dashboard tracking key metrics across all GEMS websites.
- Deliver monthly and quarterly reports to senior leadership with actionable insights.
- Lead regular audits to ensure mobile optimization, accessibility, and content freshness.
Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
5–7 years of experience in website management, SEO, and digital performance marketing (education sector experience preferred).
Strong understanding of Google Analytics, Tag Manager, Search Console, and CMS platforms (WordPress, Sitecore, or equivalent).
Proven ability to manage large-scale, multi-site ecosystems.
Experience in UX, technical SEO, and website CRO (Conversion Rate Optimization).
Other Skills:
