Job Description
GEMS Metropole School is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Manager to join our Plus Schools cluster.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in driving student success through the effective use of data across schools.

Responsibilities:
Develop the effective use of data across schools in the cluster to ensure data is being used effectively to improve student outcomes.
Make recommendations to inform decision-making and improve student performance specifically focusing on producing data, reports and analysis for attainment and progress, behaviour and attendance, self-evaluation and staff performance management and professional development.
Produce reports for the Academic teams at the plus brand schools to facilitate a full analysis of the attainment and progress including the results of report grades and public examinations.
Use reports to spot trends in school data across the cluster and conduct comparative analyses between schools to support school development leaders
Support and develop leaders across the plus brand to effectively analyse and triangulate data to improve student outcomes
Support the plus brands schools in analysing and preparing data for School Inspection purposes, School Evaluation and the School Improvement Plan
Liaise with and develop Assessment Leads in the cluster schools to analyse data using Microsoft Power BI, SIMS, Pulse and Phoenix, so that they can more effectively use data to measure impact of assessment processes within their schools
Liaise with the IT Department regarding implementation of new assessment systems in order to effectively support implementation of systems across schools
In consultation with senior leadership, respond to educational developments, both strategic and operational, which have implications on data management including data security and integrity
Attend relevant professional development courses to update knowledge and skills.
Keep abreast of new technologies and research through contacts with technology companies, professional organisations, reading of publications, and attendance of professional conferences
Skills

Have logical and analytical thinking skills and possess excellent ICT skills; including a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Competent builder of Microsoft Power BI dashboards
High standards of accuracy through keen attention to detail
Efficient and organised- ability to work in a time sensitive environment
Ability to multi-task and cope with peaks of demand
Organise and prioritise the processing of assessment data in line with the school calendar to ensure the timely flow of relevant information
Strong communication skills – ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear and simple way
Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and school personnel
Attend and present at meetings of the leadership teams and other meetings as required
Develop constructive relationships and communicate effectively to all levels of users as well as with external agencies/professionals
Experience:
A minimum two years’ experience in a data manager role. (Essential)
Experience in working with educational data including pastoral and academic data. (Essential)
Experience working with Go4Schools and FFT Aspire (Desirable)
Experience working with Nova-T6 (Desirable)
