Job Description
We are seeking a professional and welcoming individual to be the first point of contact for our parents, students, and visitors.This role is key in upholding the GEMS core values and ensuring a positive experience for all who engage with our school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist students, parents, and visitors with courtesy and professionalism.
- Handle phone calls and enquiries, providing accurate information and directing queries appropriately.
- Provide information on curriculum, admissions, events, activities, and examinations.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area, Visitor Register, and school tour bookings.
- Coordinate mail deliveries and liaise with courier services.
- Support with clerical and administrative duties (filing, copying, data entry, bulletins, correspondence).
- Maintain confidentiality and work cooperatively as part of a team.
- Assist other departments and undertake duties as assigned by the leadership team.
- Be aware of and comply with all trust and school policies and procedures particularly relating to child protection, equal opportunities, health and safety and security, confidentiality and data protection; reporting all concerns to an appropriate person
- Carry out all duties with regard to the school’s policies and codes of conduct.
- Participate in training and other learning activities as required and to participate in appraisal and professional development Set high expectations of conduct, whilst acting as a good role model for others
Skills
- Communication: The ability to interact clearly and professionally with diverse groups (students, parents, staff) via phone, email, and in-person

Organization: Strong skills in managing multiple tasks, prioritizing workloads, maintaining organized records, and using diaries and to-do lists

Technical Skills: Proficiency with standard office equipment (phones, printers, copiers) and software like Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and familiarity with student information systems.

Customer Service: A strong focus on helping others, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues effectively and courteously.
