DESCRIPTION
We’re seeking an experienced Operations leader to drive our direct imports strategy across UAE and KSA. You’ll optimize our import operations, manage freight forwarder relationships, and ensure compliance with local customs requirements.
This role will require you to be detail-oriented, analytical, and able to influence across multiple stakeholders while maintaining a high bar for operational excellence.
Key job responsibilities
– Lead end-to-end import operations, from shipment preparation to final delivery
– Develop and manage freight forwarder SLAs, focusing on cost optimization and on-time performance
– Drive operational excellence through data-driven decision making and process improvements
– Partner with multiple stakeholders to streamline import documentation and customs clearance
– Identify and implement scalable solutions for complex supply chain challenges
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– 5+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
– 5+ years of team management experience
– 5+ years of cross functional project delivery experience
– 5+ years of program or project management experience
– Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
– Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field
– Demonstrated experience with UAE/KSA customs regulations and import procedures
– Strong track record of managing freight forwarder relationships
– Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership
– Experience with Amazon or similar e-commerce operations
– Project management certification
– Multi-category import experience
– Proven cost optimization achievements in logistics
