Job Description

To assist the Primary School SLT with daily student services by assisting students, parents, and the Primary School in a professional, efficient and courteous manner.

  • Models and encourages a culture of kindness in support of the GEMS/GWA core values
  • Must adhere to confidentiality
  • Coordinates graduation and testing
  • Liaises with parents
  • Manage counselling calendars – setting up appointments
  • Answers the telephone
  • Coordinates counselor meetings
  • Records meeting minutes
  • Administers, orders – stationery, furniture, book club etc.
  • Types and distributes letters
  • Prepare official transcripts 
  • Updates class timetables
  • Emails staff daily notices
  • Updates teachers on new students
  • Has a strong working knowledge of the International Baccalaureate Information System (IBIS) 
  • Completes student subject registrations
  • Registers students for examinations 
  • Monitors IB internal assessments and uploads 
  • Mails internal assessments and examinations
  • Other related duties in the departments, as assigned

Skills

  • Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree for this role
  • Needs to be proficient and/or trainable in school’s software, as well as, excel, csv, etc
  • Organized and self-driven
  • Exhibit exemplary written/spoken English language skills; including exceptional phone skills
  • You will also have good presentation skills and be an effective communicator. You will be able to handle different tasks simultaneously and manage your time in efficient manner
