Job Description
We are looking for an outstanding “ Head of Islamic Studies” for Primary to join GEMS Winchester School – Dubailand from August 2025. The successful candidate will ensure clear leadership and a collaborative and coherent ethos within the department. The successful candidate will be able to inspire Islamic students in order to achieve the best possible academic outcomes. The successful candidate will also possess energy and enthusiasm to deliver lessons that engage, enthuse and motivate our learners about Islamic culture.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a highly successful Islamic department and to help shape and deliver outstanding lessons.
The successful applicant will be required to have:
– Bachelor of Arts in Islamic Studies (or equivalent)
– Experience leading a high performing Islamic Studies department or extensive experience as an Assistant Head of Department.
– Fluency in English Language
– A mind-set which understands all students have the potential for top performance, and the drive and passion to enable them to do so.
Skills
– A proven track record of outstanding learning and teaching.
– Good written and verbal communication skills in English
– Ability to build relationships with students and colleagues and contribute to wider school life.
– Professional commitment to becoming an exceptional teacher and a leader.
– A creative and enthusiastic approach both in and out of the classroom
– Excellent IT and interpersonal communication skills to work closely with students and parent

B.A or B.Ed or equivalent in the relevant subject
