Job Description

We are now seeking an experienced and passionate Assistant Head Teacher for Year 1-3 to join our leadership team.
Role Overview
The Assistant Head Teacher for Year 1-3 will play a key role in supporting the Head Teacher in leading and managing the early primary phase. The successful candidate will ensure high standards of teaching, learning, and student progress while fostering a positive and inclusive school culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and strategic direction for Grades 1-3, ensuring excellent academic outcomes and student well-being.
- Support and mentor teaching staff, promoting innovative and effective teaching strategies.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, implementing interventions where necessary.
- Work collaboratively with parents, staff, and the wider school community to create a supportive learning environment.
- Lead curriculum planning, assessment, and staff development for early primary years.
- Support behavior management strategies and pastoral care for students.
- Assist with school-wide initiatives, policies, and administrative duties as part of the senior leadership team.
Skills
Essential Requirements
- Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
- A minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in a primary school setting.
- Proven experience in a leadership or management role within education.
- Strong knowledge of early years curriculum, assessment, and pedagogy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate both staff and students.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- A postgraduate qualification in education or leadership (e.g., NPQSL, Master’s in Education).
- Experience working in an international or diverse school setting.
- A track record of driving school improvement and enhancing student outcomes.
